Covid-19 Support

To report a positive Covid-19 case, please use the MyEd App or email: enquiries@wilsthorpe.derbyshire.sch.uk

In these difficult times, with ever-changing advice and information from so many different sources, we are trying to select informative and supportive articles for parents/carers.  We start this page with some advice about maintaining co-operative relationships with young people as well as information about general well-being.  There is also a link to Derbyshire County Council’s advice page.  These articles will not be relevant to everyone but may be timely for some households.

Additional educational study can be found here, as provided by the Oak National Academy.

The BBC has launched an education package across TV and online, featuring celebrities and teachers, helping to keep children learning at home and supporting parents which can be found here.

Important Documentation

Whole School Zoning

Zoning of the school to support year group ‘bubbles’ from September.

Parents will be receiving a letter in the post explaining in some detail the control measures we will put in place from September to manage risks associated with Covid-19.  This includes the operation of Year Group Bubbles.  You will find details below of the zoning of the school into year group areas to support social distancing between bubbles.  It is important for students to familiarise themselves with these maps prior to arrival.

Students will be using the stairs associated with their area only (except in the event of a fire; fire practices will take place as soon as students return).

The structure of the school day has been amended for after Easter (from 19th April 2021) to cater for year group bubbles. This is shown below:

Which lessons will take place on each day during Term 5?
